Managing and Posting to Your Facebook Page From Your Personal Account on the Facebook Mobile Application After Setting Up Facebook Business Manager

Facebook Business Manager is a GREAT tool for marketing agencies who need to manage multiple Facebook Pages, Pixels, Ad Accounts and all the other things that come along with Facebook Page management.

It can be a little overwhelming for a small business owner who is not well versed in Business Manager and the changes can be confusing. We recently had a client ask us why they couldn’t post to their Facebook Business Page from the standard Facebook App for iOS/Android after we helped them set up Business Manager.

I thought that there was a way to do this, but Facebook’s documentation was, as it often is, slightly incomplete and/or incorrect. All the help I found said, basically: “In order to do this, you need to detach your Facebook Page from your Facebook Business Manager.” THIS IS FALSE.

After some poking around, I found the solution to this problem, and I wanted to share with you how to do this. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone else in the future. Check out the illustrated step by step instructions below

Step 1. On a desktop/laptop computer, go to your business manager… business.facebook.com. Click on the “Business Settings” blue button in the top right corner.

Step 2. Click on Business Info in the middle of the page near the top.

Step 3. Click the “edit” button at the top right of the page.

Step 4. Toggle the “Pages and Notifications” setting from “off” to “on” and click “Save”

Step 5. Click the “edit button at the bottom right of the page. In the “my info” section.

Step 6. Toggle the “pages and notifications” setting at the bottom of your page from “off” to “on”

Presto. You've done it.

• You must be an administrator of your Facebook Business Manager to have access to these settings. If you aren’t, contact your administrator and send them this link and tell them to follow steps 1-4. Once they have, you should be able to pick up at Step 5 to make this feature available for yourself or your client.
• In step 1, if you have multiple Facebook Business Manager accounts, make sure to select the one that it administering the page over which you’d like to apply this change for.
